Description: Giome used to be a mercenary a long time ago, and made some very unsavoury friends. After a life-changing event, he realized if he ever wanted to keep his humanity or any semblance of morality, he had to get out, and so he did. He down-graded to a career he felt much more comfortable with - smuggling. During one operation, he discovered a stowaway on his ship - but only after he had left the planet. The stowaway was a little girl from a biological-engineering company, Zentec. Zentec is spread far apart in the space Giome sticks to, but Zentec considers the little girl to be their property, and wants her back. Giome made the decision to help the little girl stay free, and has been fighting for her freedom ever since.

 Description: Jak is genetically bio-engineered creature made by the Zentec Corporation. She found out in a moment of vicious brutality that she, as a company creation, could not enjoy any of the basic rights of her comrades. Jak took it upon herself to get as far away as possible, by stowing away on a departing smuggling ship. Giome found her first, and Jak begged him to let her stay, offering her services as an engineer in return for the passage she had no money to pay for. Giome eventually relented, but Zentec tracked her down, and they've been on the run ever since.

Description: A cunning but amoral individual who employed Giome as a mercenary a long time ago. Sandalov's unconstrained willingness to sacrifice lives for the sake of his business eventually caused an all-out war among his employees where a coup almost ended his life. Giome alone saved him, but they parted ways since, and haven't seen each other for almost a decade. Until Sandalov abruptly showed up one day, with a very tempting offer, and a fool-proof plan to conduct it.
